1927 Sear Catalog: Communion service with 32 glasses and a silver pitcher, who would use this?

I am looked in a reproduction of a 1927 Sear Roebuck catalog and I see a strange thing: First there is what looks like a tall, thin, silver tea pot or coffe pot, called a “Communion Pitcher.” The pitcher had a long, thin spout for precise pouring. Then I see this round tray with a long handle in the center and 32 glasses. I am Catholic, and we do communion, but we don’t do it with individual glasses (Note: I wish we did.) What religion would take communion this way?

I notice some Protestants simply can never resist bypassing a chance to insult Catholics. I am sure Jesus loves their hate and really honors it.

Most Evangelical Churches take communion this way. Most Baptists, Assembly of God, Church of God, Foursquare, Non Denominational churches.

Some Lutherans do as well.

My home Lutheran Church in Chicago did it this way when I was a kid.

Today, at my home Lutheran Church, when you take the wafer, you then dunk the wafer into the cup of wine.

Roman Catholics will also do communion this way in nursing homes and hospitals.

Reason being that they are much more concerned about people who are sick drinking from a common cup.

Some Roman Catholics make a big deal out of communion when they claim, “We are the only ones who really have the true body and blood of Christ”, but then again in most Roman Catholic Parishes, the people never drink the wine, only the Priest drinks the wine.
